Consol to drill its first Marcellus well at Pittsburgh International Airport

In the next few weeks, Consol Energy Inc. will drill its first Marcellus well from a vast well pad on Pittsburgh International Airport property. It will be the first of at least 47 planned wells that will tap the shale gas reserve underneath. Development is expected to continue through 2018. The Post-Gazette will provide periodic updates on the project.
